• Identity information: full name, email address, phone number, profile photo, age, gender, and ethnic group.
• Verification information: South African ID number, ID document photo, driver’s licence photo, vehicle registration number, and licence disc.
• Vehicle information: make, model, colour, and registration number.
• Payment information: transaction history, wallet balance, and payout bank account details.
• Trip information: routes, pick-up/drop-off points, booking history, ratings, and reviews.
• Technical information: device type, IP address, and app usage data.

3. How we use your information

• To create and verify your account.
• To match Drivers with Passengers and process bookings.
• To process payments, commissions, and driver payouts.
• To send booking confirmations, reminders, and safety notifications via SMS, email, and push.
• To maintain trust and safety through identity and document verification.
• To improve the Platform and respond to support requests.

4. How we share your information

We only share your information where necessary:

• Between matched Drivers and Passengers: name, profile photo, phone number, and relevant trip details.
• With payment providers such as PayFast to process transactions.
• With SMS and email delivery services to send notifications.
• With law enforcement or regulators if required by law.

Sensitive documents such as your ID photo and driver’s licence are stored securely and are not visible to other users.

5. Security

We use industry-standard encryption, secure cloud storage, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

6. Your rights

7. Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as required by law (for example, tax and financial record-keeping). When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your data unless we are legally required to retain it.
